If you have set professional goals are related to the work you do at Ride Report, either in your discipline(s), or in a field tangentially related to what you do (e.g. transportation, technology, communication, sustainable development, urban planning), and you need financial support, mentorship, or other resources, we can help with that. You have a stipend of up to $1000/year to spend on career advancement or professional development activities.
You can ask your manager for recommendations, or propose any resources you'd like. Some ideas include training to learning a new programming language, attending or giving a talk at a conference related to your discipline, or certifying yourself in a relevant specialty.
If your goals are outside of the realm of Ride Report's area of impact (e.g. you want to join the circus), the main resource we can provide is flexibility to accommodate your extracurricular needs. Talk to your manager about what you need, and remember our communication practices to keep your team in the loop.
